Our history
Born in 1866, Carsten Rehder was the fourth child of a farmer on the west coast of Schleswig-Holstein. As a young man he had come to the city of Altona to work as a shipbroker and in 1903 established his own company.
Since that time, the company has been active under his name in many areas of the shipping industry, but has always maintained the same style. A private family company serving individual clients for individual shipping needs.
With over 120 years of history Carsten Rehder’s business conduct is based on trust and sustainability.
